This ancient proverb, present in different cultures since approximately 1200 A.D., appears throughout Persian, Hebrew, and Turkish literature, as well as in stories such as the Fable of King Solomon’s Ring. Across centuries, the phrase has endured because it carries a simple and deeply human truth: nothing lasts forever.
In joyful moments, it invites us into presence, humility, and an awareness of life’s preciousness.
In difficult moments, it offers strength, hope, and the courage needed to continue.
These words came to me during the most challenging period of my life, and since then they have stayed with me as a quiet reminder that every sunrise carries the possibility of a new beginning.
I transformed these words into jewelry so they could accompany other stories, other paths, and other journeys as well.
